Congrats on finishing the Camino! I really enjoyed your writing. I originally planned to walk the Camino this month but had to delay until next year. I have a couple questions for you (I understand if you are too busy to answer): if you walked it again would you do it in the the same month? I am thinking if I go in October it would be less crowded but perhaps too cold. Why do you regret skipping the one section side you ended up with your friends again? Would you carry a 2nd bra? I know every ounce counts.
Good luck on the rest of your travels.

Annette, thank you! And good luck on your future camino! If I were to walk again…and I will one day, I would probably walk in the summer again. It was blistering hot and cold at night and early morning and crowded at times but I think it all added to the experience. I loved every minute of it even when I was miserable. I think really it doesn’t matter when you walk, except winter, will be a great experience. I regret skipping the small section becasue I felt like a cheater after lol. So for me it was just a personal failure almost, I let my frustration and emotions get to me and feel like I wasn’t strong enough to push on. And yes I would definitely carry a second bra !!! Lol if I had one piece of advice for you it would be to bring essentially nothing with you. You can get everything you need there as you need it. With the exception on shoes becasue you need to break them in. I wasted so much money on crap that I was told “you have to have” and I left most of it in albergues. All you really need is; shoes (I would suggest trail runners or low cut hiking boots), 2 outfits, 2 pair underwear, 3 pair socks, small first aid kit (iodine and the gauze bandaid’s that you cut and needle and thread), toothbrush and all purpose soapanda hiking poles. Pretty much all you need. Good luck and please keep me updated on your journey. My email is fearlesstravelmore@gmail.Com if you have any other questions I would love to help you out!
